Jennifer Aniston is a creature of habit. It's one of the many reasons I love her and one of the few things we share in common, because, c'mon, who can really put themselves in the same category as Jen An? She's been loyal to her Aveeno Moisturizer for more than 35 years (I've been loyal to my Nivea for 17, though Aniston is making me consider swapping out my big blue bottle), she's never strayed too far from her blonde highlights and signature cut, and she's been wearing The North Face coats for at least 15 years, to which I only have to say: Why don't I own a North Face coat yet?

When I went to look for a North Face coat to buy for myself, most were sold out. Was everyone shopping for the iconic outerwear? The answer seemed to be yes, but then I learned that Lyst recently named North Face jackets the "hottest product in the world," based on a mix of data, including social media mentions, pages views, and sales across various online stores, and my soft yes turned into a hard one.

My hope of owning the coat Aniston owns dwindled, but then I discovered that there were still several styles available at Nordstrom, and they weren't just in my size, they were on sale, too. Though the Nuptse jacket, which is perhaps the most iconic of all North Face jackets, was nowhere to be found, I did stumble upon the style sans sleeves — a.k.a. the puffer vest version, which is on its way to my house as I type.

There were plenty of other standout styles that caught my eye, like this down parka in a black that had Aniston written all over it. It's sleek but means serious business; it's made from a durable water-and-wind-repellent nylon and is filled with the brand's signature 550-power-fill goose down. The white version of the style is pretty cool, too. This mid-length parka isn't on sale, but it's still a total must-have with its fuzzy fleece lining and timeless design.

Although there are quite literally thousands of coats to choose from — like the viral Amazon jacket that's Oprah- and editor-approved — there's a clear draw to The North Face. Aniston has worn hers for years, and we think you'll be wearing yours for years, too, even if you're not a creature of habit.
