Jennifer Brown Missing – Body Found in Shallow Grave, Investigation Underway
Mia Morrison The body of Jennifer Brown, a 43-year-old mother from Limerick Township, Pennsylvania, was discovered in a shallow grave wrapped in plastic on Wednesday.
Brown had been missing for more than two weeks after failing to pick up her young son from his bus stop. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele confirmed that Brown’s body was found partially buried late Wednesday afternoon in Royersford, a town located about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
CBS Philadelphia’s chopper captured footage of police activity at an industrial complex in Royersford that is connected to the case.
Detectives remained on the scene to process evidence, less than two miles from Brown’s home in Limerick Township.
According to Steele, the investigation has been intensive, involving many people working to locate Brown. Despite their efforts, she was not found alive.
Brown’s remains will now be transported to the coroner’s office for an autopsy. Prosecutors have not yet revealed if they have identified a suspect in the case.

Family members have stated that she would never have left her sons without letting anyone know. Her family had offered a reward of $15,000 for information about her disappearance, and the community had distributed missing person flyers.
Neighbors have reported to CBS Philadelphia that detectives removed a dumpster near Brown’s home.
Last week, the search brought investigators to a landfill in Berks County. The discovery of Brown’s body brings a tragic end to the search for her, and the investigation will now focus on finding the person responsible for her death.
