Jennifer Garner is one of the few celebrities who has a style that is both elevated and easy to recreate, from her relatable school pick-up outfits to her yard-work overalls and sleek errand-running groufits. However, her most recent outfit took a totally different approach to workwear while incorporating one of the season's biggest trends.
On Saturday, Garner attended Hello Sunshine's inaugural Shine Away event in a deep maroon skirt suit consisting of a long blazer and a button-up miniskirt that resembled the bottom of a blazer. She layered the set over a black tee and matching sheer stockings and finished off the look with deep burgundy elongated square-toed pumps adorned with gold hardware. On the accessory front, Garner wore gold earrings, a matching beaded choker, and a ring, as well as a pair of black chunky glasses that she added during the panel.
Her shoulder-length brown lob was styled in gentle waves with a middle part, and her glam included a dewy complexion, rosy cheeks, and a thick brown eyeliner.
Other stars, including Mindy Kaling and comedian Fortune Feimster, joined Garner at the event that was put on by Reese Witherspoon's media company. For her part, Witherspoon wore a mint blue dress that resembled a skirt suit.

During the panel, Garner reminisced about her and Witherspoon's friendship, crediting the actress for being there for her during a difficult time in her life. “I think back to going through a very public, very hard moment in my life. She was right there and the way I needed to get through it was dance cardio," she recalled. “And I danced cardio-d so hard, we broke her foot, but [Reese] kept going! It was like, okay, we worked out at seven on vacation, we're going to work out again at two. She was like, ‘I'm going to be there. I'm going to be there.'”
Garner returned the favor by applauding Witherspoon for creating the company back in 2016, which has become a safe space for women in the industry. "Those meetings happened at Reese's house. And it was the first time I'd ever sat down with that many actresses in the same room that we weren't passing each other in an award show in big dresses, where we just sat,” she said. “We've been siloed off the one place. The place that doesn't happen, the place that started the change where that no longer can happen is Hello Sunshine. It's just true.”
