John Morgridge: From CEO to Billionaire

Former Cisco CEO and current Chairman of the Board, John Morgridge, has a net worth of $1 billion, mainly from his shares in Cisco. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and Stanford University, and started working for Stratus Computer and Honeywell Information Systems before becoming president and COO of GRiD Systems. In 1988, he became CEO and Chairman of Cisco, which went public in 1990. Morgridge stepped down as CEO in 1995 but remained as Chairman. He and his wife, Tashia, are active philanthropists, supporting charities and educational institutions, including his alma maters. Morgridge is also a former chair of the Nature Conservancy and an avid hiker.
