Jordan Myles Announces He 'F--king Quit' WWE in Profane Twitter Video | News, Scores, Highlights, Stats, and Rumors
Mia Horton In a video he posted to Twitter (h/t SEScoops' Ian Carey), Myles said he no longer wanted to work for the company (warning: video contains profanity):
"As of today, I'd like to officially announce that I quit f--king WWE. I am no longer employed. I refuse to work for racist...I f--king quit. F--k them! I hate that f--king company and everything they f--king stand for. All they ever did was hold our f--king people back. I do this s--t for the culture, I don't need anyone's f--king permission to do what I want to do. Screw Jordan Myles, don't ever call me by that slave name, call me ACH and don't forget the super b---h. I quit, f--k you!"
Super A.C.H @GoGoMyles
Myles, who had risen to prominence as ACH on the independent circuit, signed with WWE and reported to the Performance Center in February. The 31-year-old made his NXT television debut in the first round of the NXT Breakout Tournament in July.
He defeated Cameron Grimes in the tournament final and unsuccessfully challenged for the NXT Championship, losing to Adam Cole on the Sept. 4 edition of NXT.
While Myles' stock appeared to be on the rise, things took a turn when he drew attention to a WWE T-shirt that he believed referenced racial stereotypes:
Super A.C.H @GoGoMylesI will keep posting this till my voice is heard. I’m not sorry for anything I say or do. Representation is important. If this is @VinceMcMahon & @TripleH “vision” of me then this is a slap in the face to EVERY African American performer, fan, and supporter.
WWE released a statement addressing the matter (h/t Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin):
"Albert Hardie Jr. (aka Jordan Myles) approved this T-shirt for sale. As always, we work collaboratively with all of our performers to develop logos and merchandise designs and get their input and approval before proceeding. This was the same process with Albert, and we responded swiftly once he later requested that the logo/T-shirt be redesigned. No t-shirts were sold."
Myles disputed that narrative:
Super A.C.H @GoGoMylesWhen I originally saw the design I was uncomfortable. Rather than addressing the issue I decided to counter offer with another. Baker Landon lied to my face! He said HHH wanted this design so my hands were tied. I spoke with @TripleH in person and his impression was I approved
According to the Internet Wrestling Database, Myles last wrestled Sept. 21, teaming up with Keith Lee to defeat Dorian Mak and Riddick Moss.
The status of Myles' WWE contract remains unclear.
