Because god forbid the NBA is not getting a cut from that, would be considered a sin. On the other hand, Miles Bridges was just brought back to activity on the same day they forced LaMelo Ball to cover his tattoo despite the felony domestic and child abuse charges he faced recently. The images of his crimes speak for themselves and the NBA had no problem bringing him back to the court. A decision made by both the Charlotte Hornets and the NBA combined while the legal process takes its course. No deliberation to whether Bridge sis guilty or not has been reached but they gave him a chance to play again.

The NBA and its never-ending double standards

Since the LaMelo Ball tattoo is a direct hit at the NBA's finances, it is completely banned an threatened with legal action. But let's take a look at the stadards the league uses in order to carry out their deliberations or punishments within the league. What LaMelo Ball is completely unacceptable, a neck tattoo. Ja Morant flashing a gun multiple times in public and many violent altercations get him 25 games. Miles Bridges gets 10 games and a slap on the wrist for what is likely a much more serious crime. Domestic violence is amongst the top ranked crimes amongst American families. That's how the NBA's standards stand today.

This is in no way LaMelo Ball's fault, not even Miles Bridges'. NBA commissioner Adam silver is the one who needs to take a look back at his priorities as fans of the sport have never stopped complaining for how rigged the system is for these athletes. Granted, the Charlotte Hornets are currently playing great basketball with Bridges and LaMelo finally together but the elephant in the room needs to be addressed at some point. While Ball seemed happy Bridges is back with the team so he can reach his objectives, one can't help but think what he thinks about these double standards from the NBA. although some section of the fans are also complicit in this because they cheered Bridges as soon as he came in.
