ATLANTA — SWAT teams are in Atlanta's Capitol View neighborhood following a deadly shooting on Sunday night, according to police. 

The Atlanta Police Department said a call came in just after 10 p.m. for a person shot call. They headed to a home along Allene Avenue SW, where officers said a man was found shot several times. 

He was taken to Grady Hospital, where APD said he later died. It's unknown what led up to the shooting and if any suspects are in custody.

In an update Monday morning, APD said homicide units and SWAT "were called out to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident" but did not elaborate further.

"The investigation remains active and ongoing at this time," APD said.
