Man shoots wife, himself during Coweta domestic dispute, sheriff says
Emily Wong The deputy had returned to his patrol vehicle to get his rifle when the woman ran out of the garage. She said her husband shot her and then himself, according to Nix.
Officials rendered aid to the man and woman before they were both taken to an Atlanta-area hospital. The woman suffered injuries considered not life-threatening, but Nix said the man “is currently not expected to survive his wounds.”
Just over eight hours before the shooting, deputies responded to the same home regarding a domestic dispute. Officials spoke to the man and woman separately and they told deputies they would continue to talk about their disagreement and then separate for the day, Nix added.
The sheriff’s office did not say what the two were fighting about or what motivated the shooting.
