Rebecca Jones, renowned Mexican actress, has died at the age of 65 early on Wednesday morning, March 22. The famous antagonist of several telenovelas overcame ovarian cancer a few years ago and today it has been reported that she passed away.

As fans lament the loss of a much-admired star, her PR agency has released a short statement.

"[Jones passed away] in peace and with a deep gratitude to her audience", said her public relations agency.

"With deep sadness we want to report the passing of our beloved and admired Rebecca Jones."

They also added that the actress was accompanied at all times by her loved ones and in the coming days they will say goodbye to her as she wished.
