Mitchell Lawless's Football Recruiting Profile
William Harris Personal Statement
I am Mitchell Lawless from a small down of about 13,000 people in central illinios called Streator. Growing up football was always a big part of my life which has kept me busy through the years trying to get better to make sure I can go as far as I possibly can whether it's D1, D2 or D3. It has been a dream of mine ever since I was a small child watching ISU play football games on Saturday to play college football. I have attended Kohls long snapping camps , in December I competed in the Kohls winter showcase, I also attended the Kohls Scholarship Camp this summer. My profile and film for long snapping can be seen by clicking on My Kohls Profile. I intend to continue my longsnapping training. In addition I have spent my offseason preparing attending many college camps focusing on linebacker and dedicating myself to the weight room.
I was a JV starter both sides and was 2nd string inside linebacker and center on the varsity football squad at Woodland High School (1A- FCW Coop) my freshman year. My sophomore year I started both sides on the varsity squad playing outside linebacker, center and long snapper. My junior year I started both sides on varsity playing outside linebacker, center/guard and long snapper. My senior year I am also starting on both sides of the ball playing center, long snapper, and moving to inside linebacker this year. I was also chosen by the staff at Kohls Kicking as a finalist for week 4 "National High School Player of the Week".
My passion for football has kept me focused both in school and in preparing for the game. I feel I would be an asset to any team I play for. I look forward to moving to the next level after high school.
