Moana's mother Sina also works very hard to maintain peace and harmony among the island habitats and help her husband to manage the everyday crisis arising on the island.

While Tiana works tirelessly to build enough fortune to realize her dream, Eudora supports her unconditionally. Eudora just wants her baby girl to be happy as she has always done since her childhood.
Eudora became a widow and a single mother after losing her husband James during World War I, but she gave unconditional love and support to her daughter forming a strong bond between the characters.
6. Queen Elinor And Merida

Duchess is a cat who was raised by a wealthy woman in Paris but the woman's butler gets jealous of the cat and her three kittens so he gets rid of them in the streets of Paris, Duchess works her way through the alleys to get her brood back home.
During the ordeal of the Duchess and Marie trying to get home, the mother of Marie has to befriend street cats, fend for her children, and go through extremely dangerous situations negotiating her way through.

The storyline of the film revolves around Ming and Mei having difficulties in maintaining a sound relationship as Mei approaches adolescence and Ming does not want to give space to her daughter and becomes overprotective.
The troublesome relationship between the two is seen when Ming publicly insults Mei at a convenience store after finding she has developed a crush on a 17-year-old clerk of the store sending Mei into emotional turmoil. This turmoil causes Mei to transform into a Red Panda overnight.
Although the transformation is temporary and all the females in her family possessed the ability, the older women had sealed off their spirit in a pendant. However, the transformation and Mei's choices cause a further crack in her relationship with her mother Ming.
The pair come to a truce after Mei embraces her panda form and Ming supports her daughter's choice. Ming is voiced by Sandra Oh and Mei received her voice from Rosalie Chiang.
9. Queen Arianna And Rapunzel
Queen Arianna and Rapunzel are a mother-daughter duo from the 2017 short film Tangled: Before Ever After. The short film has a 6.5-star rating on IMDb.
Although Queen Arianna has a limited screen appearance in the film, she showed plenty of signs of love and care toward her only daughter. Arianna and Rapunzel had only met for 6 months as Rapunzel was kidnapped as an infant and returned 18 years later.
Arianna wants to spend more time with her daughter before she is coronated into a princess and responsibilities fall under her shoulder, but Rapunzel wants to enjoy her new-found freedom after a lifetime of captivity.

Ariel lies about their mermaid heritage to Melody after she was born restricting her from going to the sea in order to protect her. However, Melody sneaks into the sea and finds antagonist Morgana who uses her magic to turn Melody into a temporary mermaid.
Fascinated by her newfound abilities, Melody is enraged towards her mother for lying about it in the first place. Morgana leverages this anger to create a rift between Ariel and Melody and employs her to bring a magical trident to Morgana which she claims will help Melody to make her transportation permanent.
Although Ariel is able to locate Melody just before she hands the trident to Morgana, the trust issue between the mother-daughter stops Melody from believing Ariel. She regrets her decision instantly and Melody and Ariel with the help of others work together to fight off Morgana.
Ariel and Melody mend their relationship at the end of the film. Ariel is voiced by Jodi Benson and Melody is voiced by Tara Strong in the 2000 film.
