Netflix show pushing the limits for life-changing prize is harder than American Ninja Warrior Wed 8 November 2023 09:43 Celine Byford
Mia Morrison We’ve all dreamed of being a ninja at some point in our childhood, right? Well, an epic ninja warrior show is coming to Netflix, and it’s only designed for top athletes. Endurance and speed are tested in the show, Team Ninja Warrior season 2, on its way to Netflix quicker than you can do a course.
It’s the spin-off of American Ninja Warrior, which pits three-person athletic teams against one another. It’s no normal challenge, as the show hitting Netflix involves demanding, side-by-side obstacle courses that test endurance and speed. 3…2…1… GO! (Kidding, I literally can’t get off the sofa watching this).
Team Ninja Warrior season 2 on Netflix
Contestants run, jump, crawl, climb, hang, and swing through crazy obstacles as they compete to become the next Team Ninja Warrior season 2 champion. Dull winter no more – do your exercise via Netflix!
Longtime viewers will remember stars like Allyssa Beird on Team Ninja Warrior 2’s Storm Team, from American Ninja Warrior seasons 8 to 14. If you’re new, you’ll love season 2, on Netflix on November 10.
The first episode of Team Ninja Warrior show first aired on The USA Network, where teams of competitive athletes take on the toughest and most challenging obstacles in the world to win the prize money.
How Team Ninja Warrior works
The two teams with the fastest times advance to the finale where one team will be crowned the winners and receive a cash prize. The second season of Team American Ninja Warrior premiered on April 18, 2017.
Team Ninja Warrior, now hitting Netflix, was Esquire Network’s most-watched program before it changed networks. And it’s literally like that game, don’t touch lava, as touching water is not allowed.
Each first-round episode consists of five matches: two seeding-round matches, two elimination matches (always pitting a seeding-round winner against a seeding-round loser), and the championship relay race.
You don’t just need to be an athlete with core strength (and upper arm strength to hang off the apparatus) but be mentally strategic, too. If a contestant falls off the rope, they are disqualified.
Often competitors will brush the water to catch up. But their slick feet most commonly hurt them later on obstacles such as the Warped Wall. In season 2, there are 28 teams, with three captained by women.
But it’s harder than the original American Ninja Warrior because you have to work as a team. If your teammate ends up splashing in the water, then you’re out.

Season 2 prize money
The contestant who finishes all the courses in the fastest time wins a prize money pot of $1,000,000. But it is an entire team that is crowned the winner, meaning that they have to split the huge reward.
I wasn’t wrong when I said you’d have to be an athlete to do this show. Contestants like Joe Moravsky on the Team Ninja Warrior show are constantly in the gym hanging off hoops left, right, and center!
Put it this way: If you want to get even close to that $1M prize money, you have to spend most of your days being part human, part animal when it comes to your gym sessions.
