Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire PowerSave EV Codes [VIDEO]: How To Bypass Legality Checker For Battle Mansion!
William Burgess As the New Year begins, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire fans may be wondering how to best take advantage of EVs. If you're looking for a shortcut, PowerSave codes may be the answer for you.
PowerSave has been around for many Pokemon generations and it's a controversial topic. But that hasn't stopped gamers from using it to their advantage for things like Battle Mansion. On Tuesday, YouTuber Sleepy Jirachi uploaded a video showcasing brand new EV codes for Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
"This is me explaining how they changed the EV codes and what this means for you," said Jirachi in the description. "If you're still interested on how to work the final EV code please let me know."
For those who are new to EV training, base stats are the simple numbers which accompany areas such as Speed or Defense, and increasing a base stat increases that number.
However, Effort Values (EVs) determine which stats your Pokemon gets upon leveling up, which used to be calculated primarily through Pokemon battles. For example, defeating a Patrat would give all Pokemon that participated in the battle +1 Effort Value to Attack. The higher the Effort Value, the bigger the base stat increase will be upon leveling up.
However, PowerSave codes run into a problem in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire due to the system's legality checker.
"They won't pass the legality checker," commented brownsfan125 on reddit. "You can only have a legal maximum of 510 EVs in total, and only a legal maximum of 252 on a single stat. Anything over those limits will be deemed illegal and won't be allowed to be used in official things.
They can however, be used in normal gameplay."
Thus, despite PowerSave EV codes, overpowering stats will be not be possible for things like Battle Mansion, but they can still be used to players' advantage in certain ways.
