Police Hospital Identifies 51 Bodies of Lion Air Victims

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police`s DVI team has identified 51 bodies of Lion Air JT 610 victims until the D+11 since the aircraft crashed in Tanjung Karawang waters on Monday, October 29.
“To this day, there are 51 identified bodies,” said Chief of Information Service and Documentation of the Police's Public Relations Division Comr. Sulistyo Pudjo Hartono in Jakarta, Thursday, November 8, before adding that the identified victims consist of 40 men and 11 women.
To date, the DVI team has received 186 bags from the joint search team. Meanwhile, DNA data has been taken from 609 samples for the identification process.
In addition, Sulistyo said that his side is still conducting the psychological assistance for a number of families of Lion Air aircraft victims. “Another activity is the psychological assistance for 173 families of victims,” he said.
