As part of their preparations for the 2023/24 season, Barcelona are reportedly close to officially confirming a Clasico friendly against Real Madrid this summer during their tour of the United States.

According to information from ESPN Deportes, the Blaugrana is "finalising details" for the match and the other fixtures to be held on US soil.

The Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, is expected to host the third meeting between Real Madrid and Barcelona in the United States since 2017, with Saturday, July 29 planned as the date.

History of the Clasico in the United States

This would be the third time that the two biggest clubs in Spain and have met in the USA.

The first was in 2017 with the Catalans winning 3-2 in Miami, in a game remembered as Neymar Jr's last with Barcelona before being sold to Paris Saint-Germain.

The second came just last year in Las Vegas with Xavi Hernandez's side winning 1-0 thanks to a Raphinha goal.

Barcelona summer plan

The Blaugrana is scheduled to travel to the United States between 18 and 20 July, returning to Barcelona on 30 July after playing between three and four matches, including the Clasico.

During the first week of August, Barcelona has earmarked the Joan Gamper Trophy to be held before the start of the LaLiga season on the 12th and 13th of the same month.

Friendly in Japan

After finishing the current season against Celta Vigo on June 4, the current Spanish league leaders will travel to Japan for a friendly match against Andres Iniesta's Vissel Kobe.

Barcelona will receive around five million dollars for the match, which is close to the amount they received in 2022 when they travelled to Australia to play against an all-star team from Down Under.
