What Happens When you Help Mary Find Her Brother in RDR2?

If you choose to help Mary (Arthur’s ex in Red Dead Redemption 2) find her brother Jamie, you’re gonna have to find the Chelonians. They are basically a cult that Jamie has fallen into, and Mary wants you to rescue him. She tells you that they’re somewhere in Cumberland Forest, and, indeed, they are. The game will mark the location for you, in the northeast of Cumberland Forest. The Chelonians are caming out on a cliff top.

When you approach the cult, you’ll have a brief dialogue with them. After that, Jamie is going to book it on his horse, and you’ll have to give chase. Follow him as closely as you can, and don’t give up on the pursuit. At one point, Jamie is gonna ride across the railroad tracks, and a short cutscene will play. Jamie will threaten suicide, and you’ll have to use Dead Eye to shoot the gun out of his hand without harming him. The only thing left to do then is ride with Jamie back to Mary’s house.

RDR2 Mary’s Brother Choice – What Happens if you Decline?

If you decline to help Mary find her brother in Red Dead Redemption 2, that’s where this quest ends. The two will share a few gentle words, talk about how they miss each other, and part ways. And, that’s that for Mary and Arthur. What’s important to note here is that this choice might lock you out of another mission. If you choose to help Maryie, later on, she’ll ask you to save her father, too. So, you should know that before you just give her the cold shoulder. In this game, accepting to help people is always the better choice. Ultimately, this is up to you to decide.
