NFL personnel who weren't able to watch Brock Bowers work out at the NFL Scouting Combine or Georgia's Pro Day finally saw the tight end make catches during a private workout session Wednesday.

They weren't disappointed.

Bowers "looked explosive" and "moved well" while doing position drills attended by New York Giants tight ends coach Tim Kelly and New York Jets tight ends coach Ron Middleton, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.

The Giants are currently slated to draft ahead of the Jets with the No. 6 selection.

With the Jets having committed to Aaron Rodgers and the Giants relying on Daniel Jones, both teams could be in search of pass-catching prospects early in round one.

That makes drafting Bowers, who racked up 175 receptions for 2,538 yards and 26 touchdowns during his three seasons with Georgia, something both teams are likely to consider.

Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner is hoping the former Georgia tight end will end up in New York. Gardner posted an Instagram story comparing Bowers to All-Pro San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle on the day of the private workout.

Georgia offensive tackle Amarius Mims also worked out during the individual Pro Day, per Breer.

B/R NFL scouts currently project Mims as a first-round pick to the Dallas Cowboys with the No. 24 selection in their latest mock draft.

Both Bowers and Mims "only did position drills" and no other testing, Breer noted. He added that Mims "declined to weigh in."

Bowers' production at Georgia is likely to help him maintain his position as an early first-round pick despite the lack of recent physical test data.
