Road Warrior Animal, born Joseph Michael Laurinaitis in January 1960, was an American professional wrestler known for his tag team partnership with Road Warrior Hawk. He made his debut in 1982 and wrestled for various promotions including Georgia Championship Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, and World Wrestling Federation.
He won two WWF Tag Team Championships with Road Warrior Hawk and one WWE Tag Team Championship with Heidenreich. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011. In addition, he wrestled for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).
Road Warrior Animal was the brother of wrestler John Laurinaitis and the step-uncle of wrestler Daniel Bryan and step-uncle-in-law of Brie and Nikki Bella.
In 2016, he was named as part of a class action lawsuit against the WWE regarding long term neurological injuries.
Unfortunately, Road Warrior Animal passed away on September 22, 2020 at the age of 60. At the time of his death, his net worth was estimated to be $200 thousand.
