Robert Flaherty's Men's Ice Hockey Recruiting Profile
Michael King Personal Statement
I stepped on the ice when I was only 3 years old and from that moment on, I knew I wanted to play hockey at the collegiate level. I exemplify leadership skills on and off the ice to maintain a balanced and structured team. I also put in countless hours at various gyms, on ice camps, and other facilities preparing for hockey season.
I maintain a 3.7 GPA while taking many rigorous courses and plan on taking even more in my junior year. I believe keeping good grades is an estential part for student athletes as it will give them a good opportunity to get a good education while playing the game they love. I plan on majoring in psychology when I graduate high school.
Extra curricular activities enable me to be a well rounded student. I participate in many after school activities such as choral groups, religious groups (FCA), and leadership seminars. I also volunteer as a youth pastor at Browncroft Community Church and teach kids about God twice a week.
I believe I will be a good addition to your team and/or school because I am a hard worker, leader, and determined to be successful.
