Romona A. Minns, known to her students as Ms. Holliday, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 8, 2021.  Born in Norfolk, VA, she attended and graduated from Booker T Washington High School.  She then went on to be an educator for Norfolk Public Schools for 25 years.  Romona loved being a homemaker.  Her children and grandchildren were her life.

Romona A. Minns is predeceased by her loving husband, Albert B. Minns. She’s also predeceased by her mother, Claretha Brown and her father, Archie Phillips.  Romona is survived by her daughter, Michelle Holliday; her sons, Ray Edwards Jr., Reginald Holliday, and Donnelle Holliday; six grandchildren, Ray Edwards III, Semiyah Edwards, Aniyah Davis, Noah Edwards, Heaven Edwards, Fahiym Edwards.  She is also survived by three sisters, Theresa Williams, Dorothy Williams, and Darlene Chandler, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
