Personal Statement

Hello, I am Ryan Higgins, a 5'11" 190-lb Linebacker for River Hill High School.  I have 7 years of football experience and have honed my football sense to near-perfection. I received an award for Defensive MVP my sophomore and hope to repeat that feat coming into my senior year. Initiative and hard work has given me a guaranteed starting linebacker spot on River Hill. I know that I will be able to step up to the task and while on the field, I believe I inspire my team to play better.

Division and school size does not matter to me! D1, DII or DIII would be fine as long as it meets my academic requirements (Physics preferably). I personally do not care where I go in the country, but my parents would love to see me go somewhere close to home. Also, as with any recruit hoping to get into a college, a scholarship would be a mighty thing to have. Making an impact, immediate or not, on a college team is a tough objective, but I know that I can if given a chance. Setting my sights high, I dream to play in the NFL one day, all I need is a quality college or university to support me.
