Early life
Ryan Rogers was born on December 1, 2001, in Rogers, Arkansas, to Andy and Shelly Rogers, his loving parents.
Ryan had a lifelong interest in love, music, and art. Ryan moved on from Huntsville Secondary School in 2020, where he was connected with an individual from the school band and played the trumpet from the sixth to the twelfth grades.
His love for knowledge led him to participate in quiz bowl. He was highly respected among his classmates and teachers for his academic achievements.
Family and Friends
Ryan’s love for his family was immeasurable. He was the beloved son of Andy and Shelly Rogers of Japton, Arkansas.
He was a doting brother to his sister and brother-in-law, Candace, and Dustin Serio, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and his brother, Joseph Rogers of El Paso, Illinois. He had a special place in his heart for his nephew, Everett and nieces, Aeowyn and Heidi.
Ryan was particularly fond of his uncle, Scott McSperitt, and his maternal grandparents, Virgil and Edna McSperitt, both of Rogers, Arkansas.
He had a special bond with his deceased paternal grandparents, Lynn and Bobbie Rogers.
Loss of Matthew Alicea
Ryan has recently experienced a tragic loss when his partner, Matthew Alicea, passed away on March 3, 2023. An unbreakable bond existed between the couple, who were engaged to be married.
Matthew’s death has deeply affected the Rogers family, and they ask for your prayers during this trying time.
Ryan’s fiancé’s family, the Aliceas, also mourns the loss of Ryan. Ryan is survived by Donna Lee Alicea (nee Adams), Frank Alicea, Dorothy Adams, Ryan (Alexandra), Shannon (Shea), Kristyn (Chris), Fae, Lilla, and Nora, all of whom came to love and appreciated Ryan as a part of their family.

Ryan’s fiancé, Matthew, supported their mission, and Ryan would want you to consider their cause.

Ryan Rogers Obituary: Memorial Services
The family received friends at Brashears Funeral Home on Friday, March 24, from 1-2 PM. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 PM, with Brandon Rogers officiating.
Ryan’s family invited anyone who knew him to attend and share their memories.
