Jesus Diaz reports that the nighttime robbery took place during the match that Sevilla ended up tying 1-1 against Lens in the Champions League, and that the couple's four children and their caregivers, who were at the La Alegria estate (Bollullos de la Mitacion), were not harmed.

At the time of the robbery, sources of the investigation told ABC de Sevilla, Ramos was at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium and Pilar Rubio was away from Seville for professional reasons.
