I’m incredibly hard to “influence” or win over when it comes to branding. I chalk it up to a decade in the beauty industry and unlimited access to (almost) all the products I could ever want. But — no hyperbole — I said “damn, I need to get this” out loud when I came across Eco Your Skin’s Facial Pilates Mask. 

First of all, the name caught my attention. A Facial Pilates Mask? That is exactly what my skin needs —AKA, a “workout” that targets overlooked yet crucial muscles. Then there’s the product description that mentions it’s, “like a corset for your skin,” which I wouldn’t have believed, save for the hundreds of five-star reviews corroborating said claim. The final part of the hat trick is an innovative K-beauty formula with effective ingredients. 

When you apply this mask, you’ll supposedly feel an instant and drastic tightening effect. By essentially forcing them to contract, the process purportedly stimulates the movement of the muscles in your face. In the short term, that means a tighter, more snatched-looking face. But, if this mask is truly as effective as it claims to be, then the long-term benefits mean a gradually more sculpted, plump, smooth, elastic complexion with reduced fine lines and wrinkles. 

There are two groups of ingredients at play in Eco Your Skin’s Pilates Facial Mask, the first being very scientific-sounding manmade complexes while the second are naturally derived ingredients somewhat commonplace in skincare formulas. The former includes MultiEx Phytrogen and Volufiline, both of which have skin-plumping, fine line-filling, skin-firming properties. The latter includes licorice root and allantoin, an anti-inflammatory, soothing, moisturizing, and dullness-improving combination. 

A middle-aged reviewer mentioned it’s “really is like a corset for your face… my skin felt softer and more plump, and looked brighter and healthy [with] smaller pores.” Another shopper called this a “temporary face lift in a bottle.” They explained it “really pulls up your jawline and makes you look younger and appear refreshed.”
