Everyone can think of at least one haunting makeup moment from their youth that still shakes them to their core. For me? It was only straightening the sides of my hair, not the back. For Millennials? It was using concealers on both their under eyes and their lips. But while many of us may still be dealing with the traumas of our makeup mishaps from over the years, resident Gen Z beauty icon, Sofia Richie Grainge, just made a case for the return of one aforementioned early aughts trend to your everyday glam routine (and spoiler alert: it wasn’t mine).

Earlier this month, Richie Grainge hard-launched the return of concealer lips when sharing her favorite fall lip combo with her 3.4 million TikTok followers. In the tutorial, which was sponsored by Yves Saint Laurent, the lifestyle guru started by layering two shades of pinky-brown lipstick on her pout before finishing her “pumpkin spice” look with a “tiny, tiny dot of concealer.”

After blending the small dots of concealer into her top and bottom lip, Richie Grainge explained that the final result is a “beautiful ombré lip color” — and she’s really not wrong.

Naturally, Millennials had opinions, and thousands of users flocked to the video’s comments to voice their thoughts on the trend’s potential resurgence. “*Cries in millennial,” one user wrote with another adding, “OMFG. No. Not the concealer lips. I’ve lived through this already. 🤣​​🤣🤣”
