In a recent turn of events, Hannah Bahng, the younger sister of Stray Kids' Bang Chan, found herself responding to criticism stemming from her cover of BTS Jungkook's "Seven."

While the cover gained significant traction on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, not everyone was impressed, leading to a divide among viewers.

Hannah Gratitude Amidst Criticism: Positive Response

Hannah, who made her music debut earlier this year with "perfect blues," shared in the past that she doesn't aspire to become an idol.

However, her recent cover of Jungkook's song stirred both support and controversy, with a TikTok clip amassing 7 million views at the time of writing.

The comment sections across TikTok and YouTube were a mixed bag, with many expressing surprise at Hannah's sweet rendition of the explicit version.

Despite the supportive comments, the criticism prompted Hannah to address the issue in a live broadcast.

She explained the motivation behind covering "Seven," citing a desire to release something fun and lighthearted before delving into a more emotionally intense project.

 "I wanted to release a cover that was kind of like just fun and fresh.What can I do? I can't really change that." 

However, not all feedback was positive, especially on Twitter, where she encountered hate regarding her cover. Taking a pragmatic approach, Hannah acknowledged the negativity, stating.

Expressing gratitude for the positive responses on other platforms, particularly YouTube, Hannah emphasized the importance of focusing on the encouraging comments. 

"I mean, I'm just super grateful for the people who did like it. Luckily, the comments on YouTube were very nice. Most of them were very nice.I will try harder, and that's just motivation for me to be better and work harder." 

Turning adversity into motivation, Hannah declared her intent to work even harder in response to the criticism. Addressing those who didn't appreciate her cover.
