The lyrics of “Sunflower” basically tell the tale of a rocky romantic relationship.  Malone and Lee penned this tract purposely for the 2018 animated superhero film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The film stars the likes of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson and Mahershala Ali.
