Taylor DeShon's Softball Recruiting Profile
William Burgess Personal Statement
I started playing softball when I was six years old. It wasn’t until I was about 10 years old that I started dreaming about playing in college. I know that playing in college would be a great opportunity that could change my whole life, but I also know that my future depends on me graduating college first.
I feel I am a good team leader and try to lead by example not only on the field but off the field as well. I treat and encourage my teammates in the same way I would want to be treated. I think I am very coachable and always strive to do my best again on and off the field. I listen and take every instruction to heart even if it is not always what I like to hear.
In the classroom, I strive to maintain a high GPA. I know this will also be what helps me get into college so that I am not just relying on softball to find a great college. I am very active in my church youth group and am always looking for opportunities to volunteer.
I want to attend a college where I can not only push myself in the classroom, but also on the field. I want to ultimately find the right college match for the degree field I am interested in and also have the opportunity to play softball at the highest level of competition possible. I look forward to graduating college and making my parents proud.
