William Burgess Spoilers: Alexa Wildish on The Voice 2023 had a jaw-dropping performance during the knockouts. She made it through to the playoffs after “making Cher proud”. The Team Niall singer “can’t believe” her success in the competition – but that “magical” performance says otherwise.
Alexa Wildish grew up with Cher’s Believe, which she decided to make her own – guitar in hand – during The Voice knockouts. The NBC show contestant has influenced fans to fall in love with her for her songwriting talents, not to mention those vocal chords! She’s making her coach Niall Horan super proud.
Meet Alexa on The Voice 2023
Alexa Wildish, 34, on The Voice 2023, took voice lessons from the age of five, started classical voice training at seven, and went on to study musical theater through high school at OCSA.
Her brothers and her Dad played guitar, and she sang with her Mom. After high school, Alexa studied at Elon University. Alexa then took a lead role on Holland America’s World Cruise Line, her website states.
She was en route to Broadway, but Alexa found there was “no real passion” as the stories she told in the theater weren’t her own. She later moved to Portland, Oregon, began songwriting, and the rest is history!
Alexa Wildish ‘makes Cher proud’
When Alexa took to the Knockouts stage, her version of Cher was so unique that many forgot the original singer. The performance was so “magical” that she’s made it through to the live playoffs.
One fan wrote: “An inspired performance! Her voice is so clear and pure. She took her time with the lyrics like she was wandering along telling the story. A magical performance!”
Another penned: “That arrangement was stunning. Sung masterfully. I think she just made Cher proud. Well done.” While a fellow fan said: “Beautiful! Hard to take a song so iconic and make it your own!”

She’s already won a huge contest
Alexa is aiming to win The Voice 2023 but she’s already experienced being the winner of a competition. She won the well-known 2019 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival songwriting contest!
Just two years later, Alexa took to the Planet Bluegrass stage with a full band in August 2021. For the last year, she was living out her wanderlust in a van, winding her way through every western state.
Sharing her songs along the way, she has now landed in the cozy, mountain music town of Lyons, Colorado. Alexa’s success keeps going – as her eponymous EP was recorded at Goosehead Palace.
