You are not very likely to throw all your problems at a stranger.

While it is important to express your feelings, there definitely is an appropriate time and place to be vulnerable.

Sometimes, when you share a close relationship with someone, it benefits you to take your mask off and show someone how you really feel.

A lot of people put up a façade of being aloof. People like this might feel that they are too cool to ever show that they care, or they might be shy about being vulnerable with their feelings.

And then some people put up a façade of being overly polite. They are people-pleasers who will never admit when something is actually bothering them.

While people like this believe that it is better to hide their emotions, they miss out on developing authentic relationships with others because they are hiding their true feelings.

In some situations, it is SO much better to be honest about the way you feel.

Being true to yourself and revealing your feelings will allow you to have relationships that are emotionally honest and healthy.
