Jeff has become a popular part of the furniture on HGTV’s Unsellable Houses, so it’s no wonder fans want to know what happened to him…

Twin sisters Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb help homeowners turn their lifeless homes into valuable places to live. When renovating homes, they have usually had a helping hand from contractor Jeff Laurence, who has become a HGTV fan favourite. But a recent shakeup has led to fans wondering what happened to Jeff Lawrence after a bombshell update from the show.

Who is Jeff Laurence?

Jeff was the contractor regularly seen on HGTV’s Unsellable Houses.

He is the owner of JL Remodeling, which he founded in 2001. The company offers renovations, from kitchen and bath remodels, to community projects.

It was the show’s home contractor, who worked with twin sisters Lyndsay and Leslie to bring new life to homes.

Jeff was born in Edmonds, and currently lives in the Mill Creek area with his wife Kelli, and four children.

In his free time, Jeff is usually with his family and friends, out on the soccer field – one of his passions for the last four decades – or volunteering for missions with his church and around the world.

Viewers question Jeff’s absence

It’s not the first time Jeff’s absence sparked concern. He was missing during the second season, but at the time it was only temporarily.

As season four kicks off, the show has sadly had a major shakeup. In an Instagram post a few weeks ago, the sisters revealed the new head contractor for the show. It confirmed the news Jeff Lawrence had left Unsellable Houses with a new “leading man” cast in his place.

They wrote: “Get ready for a season of new houses, new faces, an unpredictable housing market, and of course, more coffee.

“Within the last year, we officially launched Lamb & Co. Renovation alongside @lambandcodesign and we are so excited for you to watch the adventure unfold, with Owen taking on his new role as our in-house head contractor and our leading man!”

But viewers are upset over the change.

One wrote on the post: “It won’t be the same without without Jeff!!! I will miss him.”

What happened to Jeff on Unsellable Houses?

Jeff Lawrence appears to have left Unsellable Houses, as fans rushed to the comments to express their sadness he won’t be returning to the hit show.

The account replied to one of the comments when someone asked where he was going.

They wrote: “Jeff will not be on this season.

“He’s focusing on growing his business and we’re expanding ours with Lamb & Co Renovation – wishing him and his company nothing but the best!”

Lawrence has since spoke out himself about leaving the series, uploading a clip on YouTube after everyone kept asking “Where’s Jeff?”

While playing pool, he spoke about his future and explained he’s “actually been pretty busy”. He’s been diving into his reno projects and mission trips. He then hinted his own YouTube reality show – or showing some of the process of what he’s been working on and then left with a simple teaser “welcome to the new era”.

It appears this may not be the end we hear about Jeff Lawrence, despite him leaving Unsellable Houses.
