On Sunday, while incarcerated in Romania, Andrew Tate or his brother may have been brought to the hospital, according to a report relayed on Twitter by Andrew Tate.

Given that Tate is a prisoner, it was unclear who posted the message. The account claimed that Tate had been "attacked," but Romanian media suggested a less dramatic truth.

Tate's tweet included a link to an article from the Romanian publication Spy News, which said that one of the brothers had been taken to the hospital after a regular checkup at the prison medical center. Whether Andrew or his brother Tristan was involved was not made clear.

According to journalist Carmina Pricopie, who was cited by Spy News in a report from Romanian CNN station Antena 3, the brother was referred to a hospital expert following his physical.

"The Matrix has attacked me," the account tweeted. "But they misunderstand, you cannot kill an idea. Hard to Kill."

Is there any truth to this alleged attack?

There was no evidence to back up the assertion that Tate was intentionally injured in the Romanian reporting.

The "Matrix" films have been mentioned on Tate's account numerous times, along with cryptic claims that the probe is a plot against him.

Tate hasn't specifically addressed the accusations of human trafficking. Although his attorney refrained from declaring Tate to be innocent, he claimed to Romanian news site Gândul that there was no other evidence beyond the victims' testimonies.

On December 29, 2022, the brothers and two other suspects in a human trafficking investigation were taken into custody.

In a statement reviewed by Insider, Tate is accused of using the "loverboy approach" to recruit women and exploiting them to create porn for their online company.

A Romanian court prolonged the original 24-hour detention period for Tate and the others to 30-days. While the inquiry is ongoing, authorities have taken many of Tate and his brother's vehicles and possessions.
