Who is Gary King?
Gary King is a first mate on Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s 177ft ship, Parsifal III. The Bravo star joined the show in season 2 and has remained a firm cast member since.
With over 13 years of experience under his belt, King has captained smaller boats and ran the deck of several busy super yachts, but is currently working as Captain Glenn‘s lead helper. He may be a leader, but Bravo describes him as a mischievous flirt who never leaves a party first.
In season 3, Gary was involved in a love triangle with co-stars Daisy Kelliher and Colin MacRae. He reportedly hooked up with Daisy, leaving the trio in a difficult place at the end of season 4. Kelliher later clarified that nothing more would happen with King.
He later took to Instagram to clarify that he was still friends with Kelliher and MacRae, admitting that season 4 was “not his best” and needed “growing to do”.

He is currently 35 years old. Born July 12, 1988 in South Africa to his mother (Sylvi Tiilikainen) and father, Gary was raised there until later moving to New Zealand.
Gary has a brother named Ryan King, who lives in Palma De Mallorca. Ryan has been in a long-term relationship with his girlfriend Kyla Strahl for 10 years.
