Whitney Kumar and Judge Judy are close friends and have deep bonding, but they are not related to each other by blood.

Whitney is a Court stenographer working for Judge Judy for her show Judy Justice. She helps remind Sheindlin of things verbally communicated in the courtroom during the proceedings. 

Whitney Kumar has graduated from South Coast College and is recognized as an official reporter since 2006. After working for 5 years as a reporter in Los Angeles Superior Court, Whitney got a chance to handle high-profile cases including the case of Judge Scott M. Gordon. Being engaged in this case made her an official court reporter.

Later after working on high-profile divorce case in real-time in the courtroom, she became able to show everyone her skills. Later in 2001, she was called for the audition for Judy Justice, a new show on Amazon. And, she was able to get the job after her audition.

She found herself very fortunate working with Judge Judy, and going to parties with her was like a dream come true. Jude Judy really appreciated her work and was very happy being assisted by such talent. Their relationship is much more than just professional.
