Wife of former Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy hates Bill Belichick and explains why
Mia Lopez Fran Levy, wife of the ex-Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy, has explained she hates Bill Belichick because he's a "cheater" and "rude", as he continues to be a decisive figure in the NFL despite his unquestionable status as one of the best coaches ever.
It's not common for Belichick to be on the losing side, as his New England Patriots hold a 2-8 record in the NFL despite the coach being a eight-time Super Bowl champion and one as recently as 2018.
So people are wondering what's going on, how the Patriots get out of the rut and whether Belichick should actually retire, but Fran Levy isn't going to offer him any advice and neither is her husband.
"I think he should retire. I can't stand him," Fran Levy said to The Boston Globe in a question directed to Marv. "He's a cheater and he was rude to Marv. Bill Belichick was always jealous of Marv. He's a mean person and I hope he never wins again."
The ex-Bills coach, however, took a more political approach and used the fact that his wife gave him an excellent way to avoid answering the question.
"Don't quote me on that. I'm not saying that," Marv Levy added. "I'm going to have Fran run some extra wind sprints for saying that!"
Although he did, however, suggest that Belichick should enjoy whatever time he has left in the NFL as the Patriots coach reaches the age of 71 and into the decade of life he said he wouldn't be coaching in.
"About a year or two after I left, I felt I'd retired too soon," Marv said. "I missed coaching.
"I regretted it [retiring] and wanted to come back, but I was too old and no one would have hired me. If somebody would have hired me, I would have come sprinting back."

Who do the Patriots play next?
"I think we're all disappointed in the season. But we'll keep going here," Belichick said after his side lost 10-6 to the Indianapolis Colts. "Seven games to go. Be ready to go next week against the Giants."
That is who they face next, the New York Giants. The Giants head into Week 11 on the back of a 49-17 blowout loss by the Dallas Cowboys that sees them remain fourth in the NFC East with a 0.200 record.
The next Patriots game is scheduled for Sunday, November 26 as the New England side enter a Week 11 bye, meaning they won't play.
