William D. Drew, Jr. passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018. Born in Portsmouth, VA, he was the oldest son of the late William D. Drew, Sr. & Maime Drew. William graduated from I.C. Norcom High School. He served seven year in the U.S. Air Force earning the rank of sergeant. While on active duty, he received the Bronze Star for meritorious service as a personnel records processing clerk at Nha Trang Air Base in the republic of South Vietnam. After his service in the Air Force, he enrolled at Virginia State College in Petersburg, VA and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration. He later went to work at State Farm Insurance retiring as a Claims Superintendent.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, LaVersa R. Drew; daughter, LaVersa Danielle (Nathan) Williams; brother, Dwight Drew and Kevin (Deneen) Harris; Sister, Doris (Floyd) Warrs; granddaughter, Dionna Delaine Williams; niece, DeMonica Watts and nephew, Darryle Watts.
