The designer’s creative flair is what he’s known around the world for. And this year, fans are asking why he’s not showing off his talents more. Some are critiquing the TV star’s dress sense, while others adore the brightness he brings to the screen.
Whether it’s David’s tattoos or his personal relationships, net worth, or his latest work ventures, fans always seem to be curious about the HGTV star. He’s been appearing on-screen for decades, starting his hosting role of My Lottery Dream Home around 10 years ago.

Some savage HGTV viewers are taking to one of the network’s latest Instagram posts to comment on David’s style this February.
While many of David’s fans are here for his “necklaces” and more comment: “The shawl is life!!! Gorgeous David!!!” others say they “had to stop watching” his show because of his fashions.
One fan asked in the IG comments: “Why isn’t David designing instead of doing this?”
And another savagely responded: “Because he’s the worst-dressed host on TV.”
However, it seems the designer has more people who are into his looks than those who are critiquing them. One wrote: “You’re so funny David and so creative… always love seeing what you’re going to wear next!”

He hosted a show called Color Splash
David is no stranger to wearing vibrant outfits and injecting color into everything he touches.
Going back over a decade, he was the host of a TV show called Color Splash.
He’s synonymous with color, with his HGTV bio reading: “The original HGTV Design Star winner is known for his colorfully-designed interiors and custom artwork.”
Despite some people who clearly don’t get David’s iconic style, some are taking to the comments in full force to back his creativity: “Well the outfits are getting pretty weird (heart eye emoji).”

Fans want to see him designing
David clearly has some people divided when it comes to his TV shows, one person wrote: “Don’t watch anymore because David acts too silly,” but another said: “love his energy!”
Others believe he’s not showing off his true talents as a TV show host, commenting: “David. You were or are a fine designer. Why oh why do they have you doing this and not designing!”
More describe the star as a “beautiful soul” who always has fans “smiling.”
One megafan wrote: “I just absolutely adore you. I remember finding you on Design Stars. Immediately fell in love. Still to this day.”
More are commenting on his posts to say they just want to go “window shopping” for houses so they can experience David’s infectious happy energy.
