WrestleMania is the night that WWE pulls out all the stops. Anything can happen at a WrestleMania. There can be insane matches, crazy storyline swerves and just about everything and anything else a wrestling fan could ever want to see. 

Wrestling fans expect to see the best of the best in the ring, going at it in well-thought out matches with spots, moves and maneuvers that have never been seen before. 

If you watched WrestleMania 29, you got little of that. 

Some of the matches were pretty solid, others...weren't. 

Here are the three that just couldn't live up to the increased hype of WrestleMania. 

Fandango vs. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho is one of the best WrestleMania performers in WWE history. He's been a part of some major matches with some great opponents and has been a mainstay of the event for years. 

This year he pulled the strange-talking, dancing, fancy-footed Superstar that goes by the name Fandango. Unfortunately, Fandango couldn't compete as well as he dances, assuming he actually does dance well. 

This match had a lot going for it. Fandango is Vince's new project, which would lead one to believe that he's got some serious in-ring ability, and Chris Jericho is one of the best in the world at putting people over. It seems like this one could only be good. 

Not the case. 

This match didn't get much time on the card and looked really rushed and sloppy with a few decent spots, but even more spots that missed by just enough to look strange and awkward. 

The ending didn't even look right. Jericho went for a Lionsault and Fandango went to catch him with his knees but missed. Jericho then went to put him in the Walls of Jericho and quite obviously told Fandango to roll him up, which he did, for the ol' 1-2-3. 

This match was ok, but it just didn't live up to the hype and expectations that any WWE fan would expect from a match at WrestleMania, especially one involving Chris Jericho.

Mark Henry vs. Ryback

Mark Henry is a giant monster of a man. He's one of the most dominating Superstars in WWE history. Ryback is the new breed of monster. He's all muscled up with the exact big man look that Vince and the company look for these days. Put these behemoths together in the ring and you can't go wrong, right? 

Mark Henry and Ryback, both very talented in their own right, just couldn't get on the same page at WrestleMania. This was supposed to be one of the biggest matches on a stacked card and instead looked like a scene out of a bad monster movie where the giant, rubbery monsters lock up in a strange embrace and kind of stumble around until someone falls over. 

Instead of a battle of strength, it turned into a battle of punches and strikes with a couple big slams. The match, like others on the card, didn't even end with a finisher. It ended because Ryback couldn't keep Mark Henry up for the Shellshock, which should tell the WWE Universe that Mark Henry is too big and Ryback just can't handle him, right? 

Wrong again. 

Ryback was flattened by Henry when he countered the first Shellshock, but was still able to Shellshock the World's Strongest Man after the match was over. The match was really slow and just didn't have the impact and intensity that the buildup promised over the past few weeks.

John Cena vs. The Rock

This year's Cena-Rock match looked eerily similar to last year's epic encounter. We saw a tired Rock counter a whole bunch of Cena's moves, we saw them steal each other's maneuvers and we saw an entire ending that was built up of nothing but about 32 counters of finishers. 

This match was probably the third or fourth best match on the card and was solid. It just wasn't a WrestleMania main event. It felt like they didn't really bring anything new to the table aside from a John Bottom and a few more submission attempts. 

Overall, when you see John Cena vs. The Rock for the WWE Championship on the marquee, you expect a big time match. You expect to see a 4.5 or 5-star match that will at go down in WWE history as at least one of the best matches of the year. This match simply didn't live up to the buildup and the hype. Though it was a decent match, it just wasn't the match that everyone knows it could've been.
