Zach Roloff in ‘so much pain’ he thought he was ‘dying’ before brain surgery Thu 15 February 2024 04:42 Helen Williams
David Craig The Roloff family has been appearing on our screens for almost 20 years. Fans who followed the family during their ups and downs will have seen all kinds of drama play out including Matt and Amy Roloff’s divorce, family feuds, the stars’ meeting new partners, and multiple health scares. Now, as a trailer for season 25 arrives, Tori Roloff tells how husband Zach “felt he was dying” during filming.
As if the Roloff Farms drama wasn’t enough already, the Little People, Big World season 25 episodes look to have much more in store for viewers. Matt fears he’s missing out on the best years with his grandkids, Zach and Tori are juggling life as parents of three young children, and Amy says she’s “running the show.”
Zach Roloff’s health scare
During the Little People, Big World season 25 trailer, Zach Roloff, 33, is seen in the hospital.
The reality TV star lays face-down over a hospital bed as Tori voices over the moment:
“I’ve never seen Zach in that much pain. He started crying and saying ‘I’m dying’.”
Zach’s mom, Amy, says in a confessional: “Any time a surgeon needs to cut you open, I never consider that minor.”
Tori adds: “We’ve been sitting on a knife’s edge and we just didn’t know it.”
He was hospitalized last year
The moment being shown in the TLC show trailer isn’t in real-time as Little People Big World seasons air later than whenever they happened.
Last year, Zach was hospitalized and had to undergo brain surgery.
The father of three thankfully shared an update on his Instagram page letting his fans know he was on the mend.
Zach’s caption stated he was “on the road to recovery” after he had “…shunt revision surgery after getting really sick.”
He added: “The shunt is always been something I’ve had but became very real this past week for our family.”

Zach thanks ‘his rock’
In Zach’s health update IG post, he publicly thanks his wife, Tori, and his mom, Amy, for supporting him through the tough time.
He also thanked the doctors and nurses at the hospital “…who advocated for me and continue to advocate and care for their patients every day…”
Zach referred to Tori as his “rock,” and since the surgery, it appears he’s doing well and they’re stronger than ever as a couple.
The two launched a podcast in January and Zach has also been attending sporting events and embarked on his “first live” on social media.
